Key Differentiator 1: Laser Treatment for Lentigo Improvement in a Short Period

Lentigo treatment can be completed in a relatively short period.

Initially, we use a 532nm Nd:YAG laser, such as a 'ReX Laser', to focus treatment on dark and distinct lentigo lesions.

Afterward, if necessary, we can apply a secondary Er:YAG Erbium-YAG laser to gently improve any remaining faint pigmentation.

Generally, most of the process is completed within 2-3 sessions.

Through accurate diagnosis and planning, we help reduce unnecessary repetitive treatments and enable you to expect satisfying changes in a relatively short period.

Our lentigo treatment is meticulously performed with the goal of improving our patients' skin concerns.

Key Differentiator 2: The Reason We Strive for Meticulous Care

We prioritize the quality of our treatments, and to achieve this, we limit the number of patients each director can see per day.

This policy allows us to dedicate ample time and focus more on each patient.

In this way, detailed explanations and personalized treatment plans are possible throughout the entire process, from consultation to treatment and aftercare. We can ensure sufficient time to carefully observe the patient's skin condition and responses, and incorporate them into the treatment.

This allows for increased precision in treatment, and our goal is to provide meticulous medical services that focus on individual patients rather than simple repetitive care.

We focus on the skin concerns of each individual patient. We place great importance on taking ample time to carefully examine and assess.

Key Differentiator 3: Laser Settings Tailored to Individual Skin Conditions

We meticulously assess the patient's skin tone, the size and depth of the lesion, and skin reactivity to adjust the laser's spot size, pulse energy, fluence, and other parameters.

For lighter skin with shallow pigmentation, a smaller spot size and appropriate energy can be used for focused irradiation. Additionally, for skin prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, we adjust the output to minimize the risk of side effects during the procedure.

Such delicate laser settings enhance the precision of treatment even with the same equipment and can lead to results that meet the patient's expectations,

which is one of the crucial processes.

Key Differentiator 4: Post-Treatment Recovery Management

As the 532nm laser shows a quick response, scabs or temporary redness may appear after the treatment. Therefore, special attention must be paid to skin regeneration and UV protection management.

Furthermore, during 532nm laser or secondary Erbium-YAG laser treatment, each patient has different pain sensitivity. Considering this, we decide whether to apply anesthetic cream during the pre-consultation. After the treatment, we soothe the skin with cooling and a Jaun-go modeling pack.

Our clinic provides Duoderm to assist in post-treatment recovery and protect the skin from UV rays.

Key Differentiator 5: Treatment Plan Considering Overall Pigmented Lesions, Not Just Lentigo

Many patients who come for lentigo removal often have dermal pigmented lesions such as melasma in addition to lentigo.

While targeting only lentigo is important, we believe that patients also have high expectations for overall skin tone improvement.

We conduct thorough consultations with patients, utilizing diagnostic equipment to clearly classify the pigmentation distributed on the face. Based on this, we carefully determine the treatment direction, whether to target only epidermal pigmentation or to consider the overall improvement of pigmented lesions.

Through this, we aim to contribute to improving our patients' skin tone and creating a brighter complexion.

What are the causes of lentigo?

Solar lentigo is a flat, brown pigmented lesion that primarily appears due to UV exposure and skin aging.

It appears as a form where melanocytes are excessively activated, leading to a significant accumulation of pigment in specific skin areas.

Repeated exposure to UV radiation continuously triggers melanin production,

and as age increases, the skin's regenerative capacity and pigment metabolism function decline, causing lentigo to gradually darken and spread more widely.

They primarily occur on the face, back of the hands, and arms, and are typically characterized by clear borders and a dark brown color.

Primary Areas of Lentigo Occurrence

Lentigo (solar lentigo) is a pigmented lesion that primarily occurs confined within the epidermal layer of the skin.

Specifically, melanocytes located in the basal layer of the epidermis become excessively activated due to UV stimulation,

resulting in the concentrated accumulation of melanin pigment in specific areas.

Histopathologically, lentigo is observed as an excessive deposition of melanin within the epidermis, without invading the dermis.

The boundaries with surrounding normal skin tissue are relatively distinct.

Due to these characteristics, lentigo can show a relatively positive response to treatments targeting the epidermal layer, such as Q-switched 532nm lasers.

This pigmentation differs from melasma or mixed pigmented lesions that appear across the dermal layer.

532nm Laser Wavelength

The 532nm wavelength is a green-spectrum wavelength that effectively absorbs melanin pigment. It primarily targets pigmented lesions located in the epidermal layer of the skin.

The 532nm laser is mainly used in a Q-switched manner. This method precisely destroys pigment particles by irradiating high-power energy during a very short nanosecond timeframe.

This short pulse energy is selectively absorbed by melanin and then converted into thermal energy. Simultaneously, it creates a photomechanical shock effect, effectively breaking down melanin particles.

Some of the broken-down pigment forms tiny scabs and naturally exfoliates. The rest is gradually eliminated from the body via the lymphatic system by our body's macrophages.

As the destroyed pigment is gradually removed, you can expect the lentigo to visibly lighten or disappear.

Lentigo Removal Treatment

While the lentigo laser is one of the useful wavelengths for improving lentigo,

the success of the treatment is not solely determined by wavelength selection.

An integrated treatment plan, including accurate diagnosis and personalized settings, must be implemented.

This can increase satisfaction with the treatment results.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

What is the treatment interval?

QnA

Generally, considering the skin regeneration and gradual fading of pigment cycle, we recommend treatment every 3-4 weeks.

How many sessions are needed for lentigo improvement?

QnA

Based on 532nm laser treatment, most lentigines can show significant improvement with just 1-2 sessions. However, depending on individual skin characteristics, the depth or area of the lentigo, and typical sun exposure habits, 2-3 additional sessions may be required.
